Dear Sir/Madam, I need your help in knowing if ESIC is exempt in Daman and we have Sales Executives in other parts of the country, can this ESIC exemption be availed for these Sales staff too?

1. Sir, I understand that Sub Regional Office, Surat of ESIC is having jurisdiction in respect of area of Daman. Therefore, you may confirm the position from SRO, ESIC, Surat (Gujarat).
2. Sales Executives (if getting wages within coverable limit and posted in implemented areas) are coverable under ESI Act, 1948 and rules/regulations framed thereunder and compliance is required to be made. In order to know procedure for coverage and compliance of such sales executive, you can contact the appropriate branch Office of ESIC to which your unit is attached.
