I am a cabin crew of well reputed airline.
I had joined in the month of January 2022 and everything was good until I was just feeling low while operating one of the flights inside the flight. I was taken to doctor and they told me take some tests and everything looked fine in my reports. While the test and reports were getting ready my airline didn't let me fly and told me they'll get back to me.
I was aware that as flight was delayed they have suffered from loss.
But when all reports came out doctor told there is nothing to worry about and i should just change my diet habit. I was very happy as there was nothing to worry.
I informed my airline and provided details with reports and was given a medical clearance from the in-house medical team.

Then I was informed that they will schedule my flights so that i can fly back soon.
But they kept postponing it and i was sitting at home doing nothing and just paying monthly rental as i was not in my hometown.
I was following up with the HR and every department but they gave no information and said "please wait, this process takes time" but i had already waited for one month and then after 50 days they called me and asked me to come Delhi and when I was there. They humiliated me, told that they cannot take risk of letting me fly back just because I got sick once.
They told me that because of me already many flights are delayed so they cannot let me fly.
They told that i have to work on ground as a ground staff on airport base. I denied for that and told them that my designation is cabin crew and i got trained for it.
It was my childhood dream to work as cabin crew . I had fought with my parents for this career. But then airline itself humiliated me , made me cry and didn't eve bother about me.
But they told that, i can fly back whenever I want but now I have to work on ground staff for sometime and then they'll let me fly back.
I said okay for that.
But now again it's been 1month i am working as ground staff which is not changing my job profile on documents but they forced me to work on ground.
I just want to understand here that, does employer or airline has this right to make me feel bad and struggle like this. Just because I was sick and not well for 1-2 days.
In life certain things are there that doesn't happens by telling you. The situation that happened in flight was instant. Also i apologized them. But here they were not concerned about what I want to say because they didn't wanted to listen.

Please guide me how I can take my designation back.
Because I don't want to quit from here as it's always been my dream to fly. Also i had paid a security deposit of 50k to them and signed a 3 years contract.

Please help me with this

Perhaps, you are becoming over-anxious, you need to bid for the time. Flying is a high-risk business and you are required to prove your health status, the Airline would like to be fully satisfied that you are fully fit. I think you need to allow the process to take its time and don't try to hurry through. From the narrative, it doesn't look like they are trying to ease you out.
Your concerns and worries are understandable but at this stage there is nothing much you can do, except demonstrate your good health. Keep your emotions under control, frustration is not going to help.
Pl start enjoying the work you are assigned. Take it in a positive spirit, as you are getting free exposure to the work at ground level which probably would be helpful in the long run.

Dear Divya,

Man proposes, god disposes goes the famous adage. However, should we blame the God entirely or you too have some in it that remains to be seen.

You had on-flight uneasiness. But on the preceding day, did you sleep well? Did you consume food that upset your stomach? Did you consume food that had a little excess soda? Please find out honest replies to these questions.

Whatever the replies may be, your company has grounded you. You cannot undo your past. Therefore, give your best to whatever job you have been assigned. Devote your heart and soul.

Everybody (repeat) everybody suffers due to setbacks in life. You have suffered now. But because of the setback, whether to impact future progress of your career or not is in your hand. For the setback you have suffered, you were only involved in the incident. However, life is not necessarily that fair to others. They suffer due to cheating or betrayal by others. Putting up with betrayal is far more difficult.

Whether one has a flying job or not, but coming up with flying colours is in one's hands.

Continue to work with ground duties. However, a few months later, find out whether you can get a job in the training department.

Before closing, your post merits development feedback. The quality of English your post is better than the average posts of this forum. However, it is not on par with a flying professional. It appears that you have not taken into account a difference between spoken and written English. Good communication skills, both oral and written, is a prerequisite of one's growth and more so for the one who deals with the customers of airlines industry. Please work on grammar to address this weakness of yours.

Hi,

My suggestion is that you continue with the role of Ground Crew for some more months. Your Employer might assigned the role of Ground Crew so as to observe your health condition , to see whether any recurrence is there etc. So please be patient and perform your role as Ground Crew very happily. Importantly don't take any hasty decisions like resignation or nasty email communication to HR or so. Reason being your employer will accept it happily and will relieve with remarks of ill health issues in the relieving letter. Time Will Heal Everything ! Wish you good luck in your Career!

On your own personal interest go for some master health check-up as well to ensure you are perfectly alright !
