Hi rohit Ofcourse even Sunday shall be included in holiday. More over it depends based on the management. In few organisations sundays will be exempted.

It depends on the organizations policy! Majority of the companies, would count Sunday in your holiday, however there are exceptions.!!

No CTI.HR099. 1st and 22nd May 2011 is considered as Prefix and suffix for the leave, and his leave period is only 20 days.

Hi,
I suggest you refer to the company policy related to leaves.
I have seen many companies which counts only working days for deductiong your casual leaves.
If you avail medical leave or loss of pay, generally calender days will be counted.
Regards,
Lloyd.

Dear Rohit Singh,
The matter in question is critical and what suggested is based on normal and common practices and not on law point of view.
under what provisions of law ur org. is applying might have been considered here. whether it is under shops & comm.estt.act or factory act, then only we will came to the conclusion.
suppose ur org. is under shops/comm.esst act, then the w/off will come within and countable as a leave but when it is under the provision of factory act then all w/off's r excluded and salary/wages have to be devided by 26 or 27 or 25 or 24 whatever the days in the month, hence question doesn't arise to count the leave on w/off.
Hope this will clear ur query.

Dear Mr. Rohit,
It was really a nice question. In majority Company Policies says that the Sunday will be consider if you take a leave from Saturday to Thursday.
In this case I suggest you to take a leave from Monday to Friday.
It will serve your purpose.
