We have hired some contractual employees in 2010-2011 and allotted them PF number and their PF return was also filed in 2010-2011. Due to some clerical errors around 15 employees have got the same PF number which were allotted to above mentioned contractual employees. Employees have joined the organisation from June 2011 on wards. The error was found when we are preparing our annual PF return. On a monthly basis we deposit the Form 5 to PF authorities. Can we sent a revised form 5 to PF authorities with new PF number? But can PF authorities allowed us to give the fresh PF no. to the employees who joined in June 2011? Is there any remedy to the problem?
