I am of the opinion that about 50% of code numbers are obtained by individuals who seek them solely for the purpose of securing contracts. However, after acquiring the code numbers, they fail to comply with the act, leading to numerous issues for everyone involved, including the inflated figures of EPFO showing defaulting establishments.
