I am working for an IT - well known Company in India which demands 3 Months prior notice to get smoothly relieved from the company. My Bond period for one year is over before 6 months - I have 1.5 yrs of Exp. This is my first job.

I have got an exciting offer at another IT - well known company which tells me to join within 1 month. My company doesn't accept the bargaining of notice period for money / surrender of leaves / any compromises because of higher attrition.

The new company is ready to accept me without relieving letter. The new company - MNC HR tells that I will have no problem in VISA / in future services too.

I have planned to give 1 month notice only to my present company and after 1 month I am going to put Loss of Pay leave and abscond of the services.

I am sure that during Back Ground Verification processes if any in future, my Company will not tell that I was not an employee - may be they will tell I absconded - becoz I have offer letter, appointment order, salary revision letter, bank statement, all payslips, Two Form-16 issued, a letter to Bank stating that I am drawing so&so pay scale and I am employed from the DOJ.

Will there be any issue in future if I join some other company / visa processing, if I carry no relieving letter from my present company.

I have huge PF here too. The new company HR told me that I can trfr the same - because PF authorities ask no such things from the previous employer and all. Will there be any issues in PF ?

I seek suitable advice.

Siva,
While your concerns are valid I think that you are making a mountain out of a mole hill.
You have your own career.
To my mind the risks that you mention are all there. The risk has to be taken in perspective.
Eg the risk in corssing the road at other than the designated spot is all there but most of us would take that risk without thinking too much about it.
Yet when we do take such a risk we are cautious and are senses are extra careful just in case we do not get run over.
Think of it in this way and see if it makes any sense to you
You can if you wish keep me informed on how things panned out.

Hi,
I am in a similar position right now.
What about Visa stamping after a few years? Could that be a problem if i dont have relieving letter from my previous employee ?
Also my HR is threatening me to file a complaint against me :D
How bad can that be and something that i can do about ?
Thanks,
Rohan Kunte
