Hi,
What was your employment terms :-whether you were on permanent role /contract /on probation ? not clear. Please check your employments terms on separation/exit.
Whatsoever it may be you may write a email to your CEO stating how this sudden separation without any advance intimation had a great impact on your family, children education etc. Present the hardship caused due to loss of employment and request for monetary consideration as per employment terms.
Also just keep moving and look for other offer and don't imagine this as the end of your career. Opportunities will be more in the market. Only thing is that you need to explore the right opportunity for you.
