Dear All

I am writing this to highlight my below concerns:

1- I was interviewed for the profile "Category lead in the capacity of Assistant Manager". The word "Lead" clearly gives an idea of the profile which involves "Team Management" which was also clearly mentioned in JD, But after joining, I am being offered a profile which is equivalent to an associate/individual contributor role and one level below my previously held position.

2- I have been deployed at a compensation which is less than my previous one whereas I was offered INR 1.1lac/ annum increment on my last compensation that also includes variable part. Though it will come into effect after 3 months of my probation period but after getting to know some irrelevant business goals in near future, I wonder if I will get that increament in case company's goals are not met and also my confirmation may get postponed.

3- If I choose to leave the organisation at this stage, I will have to suffer monetary loss as I left my previous organisation and rejected other relevant offers to join this organisation. I am not sure how soon I will be able to join a new organisation after this.

4- If I choose to continue at my current profile in this organisation, It will definitely block my path to grow in career as working at one level lower profile will not take me to higher level in future at any other organisation.

I would request the organisation to consider this as a really important concern and come up with an appropriate stand to maintain its integrity and prove to be a great place to work as I am going to suffer in both monetary and professional aspects if I choose any of the above option.

I would suggest first discuss your concern with your HoD/HR with a view to get a clear idea as to why this is happening. You'll be let know the reasons behind the unexpected development. Upon which you may take decision on weighing options before you. I think you are on probation with certain terms of Notice Period also if and when you decide to quit pushed to extreme.
