Dear Experts,
One of the emplyee salary is 6000/- PM for
30 Days, that mean Rs. 200 per day for 8 hour
its been Rs. 25 per hour,
Query... if this employee does 100 hour OT
In one month then only 2500 will be paid for over time as per the term of employement
Or is there any specific payment rule for OT,
Please revert,

Definitely there are rule of double payment if a worker stay on OT.
For example:
Per month salary is 6000/-
Per day 200/-
Per hour 25/-
Since you have to pay double then calculation of OT will be
25X2= 50/- per hour
So amount for 100 hour will be 5000/- respectively.

Even though the formula for the calculation of over time wages given above is correct, you can not extract over time work the way you like without adhering to the legal limit fixed on the total no of working hours in a day or week or month as stipulated in the establishment-related law applicable to your establishment like the Factories Act,1948, Shops and estt Act, Motor Transport Workers Act,1961 and the like.

Payment of Overtime will be after working beyond 9 hours in a day or 48 hours in a week ( This work will be beyond to your normal work). As per Factories Act, they have to pay double (twice of wages). Your normal wage rate per hour = Rs.25. You worked for 100 hours as OT. Therefore, you have to get Rs.25x2=50x100=Rs.5000/-.

Respected sir,
As you have pointed out OT will be consider if working is beyond 9 hour or 48 hour in week.........................................
But we does work 6 days in week sunday to saturda, if we calculate 48 hour in 6 days 48/6 : 8 hour per day...
As per the above calculation OT should be consider after working beyond 8 hour instead of 9 hour,
