Professional tax of employees is deducted from their salary. Hence, the month you started distributing salary at actuals, you have to remit PT. Other than this, there are dates specified by the relevant authority as to by what dates it is to be remitted. Also, the slab of deduction is mentioned, and applicability as per the turnover, the schedule of remittance can be opted. Please refer to the Professional Tax Act and rules applicable as per the state.
