Dear Connections. In our Employee Engagement Activity Calendar (EEA) planned Teachers Day Celebration on 5th September. I am totally unaware of what we can do on Teachers Day. We are a manufacturing Company. Kindly suggest and share your ideas!

Hi,

Celebrating Teacher's Day in an office may sound bit weird but it is a good idea.

Here are some thoughts:

On Teachers Day you may honors Mentors, Trainers, and other Senior colleagues who have guided and taught others.

Employees can be encouraged to share their learning journeys and the mentors they have had.

Encourage senior employees to take a pledge to mentor a certain number of juniors in the coming year, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

You may plan for a group discussion about the importance of mentorship, the challenges faced, and how to overcome them, allowing for an exchange of experiences and insights.

You may invite external Trainers or motivational speakers for workshops on mentorship, leadership, or other relevant topics.

You may consider felicitating the HRD team in your concern. You may invite an industry expert to share the recent developments in your manufacturing technology. You may consider increasing the average training hours/days over the previous years. You may initiate a website (intranet) to share the technical news and views and suitably compensate the contributing employees.

Hi Sneha,

Yes you can..No hard and fast rule.

But which school you will choose. Plan in such a way school has some connection with your Company.

Or you may choose some Government school students and help them with study related materials.

For CSR purposes the beneficiary has to have no connection with you, otherwise such expenses will not be counted as CSR. It has to be purely self-less effort. A govt. school will be ideal.
