Dear All,
I have currently taken a break from work and was looking at doing some certificate courses in HR.
Can anyone suggest courses that can be either taken online or could be in the form of workshops ( the non residential types). I did checkout with SHRM and other international organisations and their certification programs but found them to extremely expensive.
Please suggest those courses that could be economical and could be completed in a short duration of say 1 to 3 months and also should be valued by companies in India.
I hope this information would be useful to other members as well!

Hi Girish:
Your first task may be to look at which facet of HR would you want to chart a career in. I mean one could do a lot of generic certifications and gain minimal value vis-a-vis actually doing some quality narrowed certifications.
Possibly the CPBA (certification to read and counsel based on DISC Reports) could be a good start point for Training or Performance Appraisals, Cometencies etc.
