Hello Seniors & Colleagues,

I have completed an MBA in Human Resource & Finance. I worked at a leading private bank (on the bank's payroll) for 5 months before deciding to pursue my career in HR. During my time at the bank, I was primarily involved in branch operations. Subsequently, I joined a placement consultant, and for the past 7 months, I have been working with a software organization.

I have been involved in recruitment for over a year now and am eager to advance my skills and knowledge in the HR field. I am seeking guidance on recognized courses or certifications that would enable me to enhance my expertise. I have considered pursuing an SAP course; however, I reside in Indore (MP) and am uncertain about the opportunities available here.

I would appreciate your suggestions on a rewarding career path to pursue.

Warm Regards,

Nowadays, SAP is implemented in almost all organizations/banks, and hence you can proceed with a SAP course. Even employees' data, payroll system, attendance – in total, all employees' profiles are through SAP only. A SAP course is also beneficial for HR professionals.

Hi Prasad,

Thank you, but the thing is SAP can be done for two things: technical and functional. I need to know which one is better for me and what the career aspects are after doing it. Please suggest.

Warm regards,

As far as your profile is concerned i.e HR, only functional knowledge of SAP is sufficient for you. If you have time, you can also opt for LLB/Public Administration, which of course can enhance your profile further.

Hi Richa and Poo,

Every new joiner in this forum asks about SAP and all that. I too faced this. Based on experience, I want to suggest that before posting any query, search the desired topic using the search query option provided at the top of Citehr. You will definitely get answers to your query there.

Best Wishes,

Thanks for the suggestion, Vaibhav.

But if you have read my initial query, then you'll come to know that I don't want to know about SAP only. I want to know about all the career opportunities one can opt for after MBA - HR. It might be in SAP, Training, Recruitments, Performance Appraisal, etc. It can be anything and everything.

I want to know that, according to the latest trend, which is the best option to opt for. Please suggest.
