We emailed for the new joiner's employment verification to their previous company. However, in response, we are being asked for the joiner's CTC and designation. Is this correct? What would be the professional way to decline these questions and request comments on the verification? Please advise as soon as possible.

Good morning. This is in reference to your aforementioned post. To avoid such questions, we outsource the employment verification process so that the third-party vendor/partner doesn't have such information to answer, and accordingly, they refused.
Also, you may request that companies understand, due to your company's data protection policy, you are unable to share your coworkers' personal and professional information as it is considered a violation.
Hope this helps.
