Hi All,
I have requested a joint declaration in my current company, and it is still pending with the employer. I have a joining date next week, and my new company's HR is continuously chasing and putting pressure on me. This situation is stressing me out.
Will my joining be delayed, or will I lose my job because of this issue?
What are the other alternatives I can look into? What can I answer to HR?

Hi,
Request your current employer to approve the same. Earlier, such requests used to be approved by the respective PF office only. Now, the employer is vested with the rights to approve after proper verification of documents submitted as proof of a name change. Not sure what changes you have requested (initial front or back/initial abbreviated). Hope you have updated the changes in Aadhar first. Being an existing contributing member to PF, the new employer will ask for your UAN Card to check the name as per the UAN card. It's better to join the new employer once your employer approves the name change to avoid further complications. Explain the situation to your new employer's HR.
