EDLI can be claimed on death, whether it is natural or accidental. It includes 30 times of the deceased's last drawn wages, with a maximum limit of ₹450,000. Additionally, 50% of the total PF amount balance can be claimed, with a maximum limit of ₹150,000. The total amount that can be claimed is ₹600,000 maximum.

Yes, he/she is entitled benefits available under EDLI Scheme in case of committing suicide. He is also entitled for benefits under LIC Policy (If obtained and premium is paid uptodate)
