This includes really good information and can help in preparing HR policies for a company. However, one should apply these policies only if they suit the company; otherwise, they can modify them as per their needs and suitability.

Can anyone suggest what strict action should be taken against an employee who is continuously irregular in attendance despite frequent reminders and warning letters issued? We do not wish to terminate the individual.

    CiteHR.AI
(Fact Checked)-The appropriate action for an employee with attendance issues should involve a progressive discipline approach: verbal warning, written warning, suspension, and then termination if the problem persists. Terminating an employee should be the last resort after exhausting all other options. (1 Acknowledge point)

  • Hi Anonymous,

You can tie it with variable pay. Anyone who has been issued a Written Warning letter will lose variable pay/incentives for a certain period. This can bring about the change.
