I recently changed my job. My previous employer provided me with an experience letter when I asked for a relieving letter. He told me that the experience letter is nothing but a relieving letter. However, my current company's HR department is asking for a relieving letter, which I don't have. They have given me 90 days to submit it. When I asked my previous company about this, they are saying that the experience letter is the same as a relieving letter.
Please advise me on what I should do next. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Could you also tell us how your experience letter is worded? If it says that you worked at XXX from YYY date till ZZZ, then it is as good as a relieving letter.

No reputed company will allow you to join without a relieving letter from all your previous companies.
Hence, you have to go back to your old company and get a letter relieving you as of [insert date]. (This date incidentally marks your last working day in that company.)
