Dear seniors,
I want to know if there are any drawbacks if a job is based on a third party's payroll or a consultancy's payroll instead of the company's. In what condition should one join? What are the things that need to be taken care of?
Regards,
Parul

Hi Kanchan,
I had planned to join TCS on third-party payroll; however, I could not make up my mind as it's quite a dicey situation. Moreover, my current company is doing everything to retain me back. Now, it's all a big confusion as to what needs to be done.

Kanchan,
Currently, I am working in TCS on a contract with Future Focus for the last 6 months, and I have 2 years of experience. I am completing my BSc in Computer Science, but I had a gap in the last year. I would like to know the criteria for transitioning to a permanent role within TCS.
I just want to understand the requirements for moving to a permanent position.
Thank you.
