Very sad indeed. Regular safety and awareness training should be implemented by all companies, especially where employees work in hazardous areas with electrical safety requirements. Unfortunately, L&D seem to be the first casualties of any budget cuts.

The accident clearly indicates that there was a huge loophole in their safety system. A systematic risk analysis should have been done to identify all such possible dangers, and specific preventive measures could have been implemented before starting the trial in the new plant.
