Dear Seniors,
Please guide on how to motivate employees for safety from the shop floor to middle management. Additionally, provide guidance on tools to develop a "Live safety culture" in the workplace. In essence, fostering a culture where safety is ingrained in the hearts of all employees without the need for constant supervision, enforcement, or blame.
Thank you,
Girish

Dear Abhay,
What you would like to do is to drive safety consciousness in the culture of the company. This is a long-drawn process and much easier said than done. To attain this level, you need to conduct intense safety training at all levels. How frequently do you conduct the safety audit? How promptly is action taken on the report submitted by the safety department?
As of now, what is your safety score? What is your accident rate and incidence rate?
Secondly, do you practice 5S? While 5S has nothing to do directly with safety, it will help indirectly. A 5S culture helps in promoting safety.
Thanks,

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your reply and SORRY for my late response. Presently, IR, SR, and Safety Index are Zero. But this can make the Management and team members complacent, and problems may start from that point.
5S and Kaizen are already in place, and we are currently focusing on addressing At-Risk Behaviors and Near Misses. I am seeking different ways and ideas to actively involve my team members in this and keep safety a LIVE priority.
Thank you, and I am eagerly waiting for your valuable guidance.
