Hi everyone,

I'm quite worried for the last few days. I have been working in a company for the past six months, and until now, we have not received any documentation like an appointment letter or salary slip. The company is in its foundation period, as it has only been a year.

I want to get relocated, but due to the lack of such documentation, I am unable to do so. I have asked the officials to at least provide a salary certificate, but they always say they will provide it tomorrow. However, even after continuous reminders, that tomorrow has not come.

Now, I feel stuck with no way to go, feeling quite depressed due to this situation. Will you please help me understand if a person not having any documentation will affect their next job interview?

If you are paid by cheque, then that should not matter as you can always show your bank statement as proof of income without the need for a salary slip. An appointment letter would be required, but in your case, during interviews, mention that the company has not issued you the same. If selected, you can obviously submit your acknowledged resignation letter as well as a relieving letter with the required details. It should not be a problem once you have resigned from the job.

Dear Sir,

Thank you so much. Surely, I can show my bank statement, but for two months, the salary was paid in cash. I hope that's not a problem. An acknowledged resignation would be a better option, as the officials are not interested in providing any written correspondence.

Thanks again,
Radhika

Dear Abhijeeth,

Thank you. There's no need to do such a thing. They'll learn their lesson themselves very soon. Every single employee is dissatisfied. We feel stuck. But we have to make a move now. I agree I joined the wrong company in terms of employment, but I hope for the best now.
