I worked in a renowned MNC for a year. During the period of my employment, I had to take two months of leave as my mother was suffering from terminal cancer. I informed my HR manager as well as all the concerned persons for leave extension. I got a response from the HR that they are looking into it and will provide an update but didn't receive any response from them. I even tried calling my HR and kept her posted about the entire scenario, but they verbally terminated me without any prior notification (no normal termination mail). In the period of one year (three months training and around five months project work). I even asked them via mail/call for rejoining but didn't get any response.

I also had a bond for two years, but I worked for a year. Will I get an experience letter.

Hi,

It is very unfortunate that you have been terminated by your employer while you were attending to your sick mother.

You have mentioned that you were verbally terminated by your employer, which is not clear. Normally, many employers used to consider leave requests from employees when the medical reasons are genuine. However, when leaves are extended or prolonged without a fixed commitment of resuming back to work from the employee's side, and there is no other option, they may proceed with the separation process as it affects the production count.

You can still approach your employer in person with all medical documents and request proper relief, either by serving proper notice or receiving payment in lieu of notice. Your employer might consider it. At times, a communication gap can be the main reason for conflicts.
