Dear Team,

I have a query regarding ESIC. Now, ESIC limit has been increased from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 21,000. Suppose an employee who has been working in our company for the last 4 years and currently has a salary of Rs. 18,000. According to ESIC regulations, this employee will now come under ESIC coverage. In this case, we need to generate his/her IP number. My question is, what should be the 'Date of Joining' we enter? Should it be the actual date of joining or should we use 01/01/2017 (as the amendment came into effect on 01/01/2017)?

Kindly guide or suggest me on this matter.

Thank you.

You will generate IP from 01/01/2017 and there joining date will be same in esic 01/01/2017 because on this date he join esic and esic limit w.e.f 01/01/2017

if the IP (employee) has od ESIC number then that number would get added with doj 01/01/2017 .....however original date of joining ESIC will remain unchanged.

How do I change the date of joining? Actually, I have 50 employees, but in August, by mistake, I created 35 employee challans. After realizing this error, I proceeded to create a supplementary challan. In this situation, I added that employee, but the date of joining was given as 01/09/2017. How can I create a challan for August 2017? Please help me.

You will add all that member in esic 01/08/2017 again and last which you add on the 01/09/2017 member you will leave all that employees in September month challan.
