Dear Amit,

Thanks for your appreciation. First of all, you will have to start by conducting a TNI/TNA (Training Need Identification/Analysis). Once this is done, you will have to chart out a training calendar.

Training in the corporate world is all about marketing your training department to your internal customers (i.e., the business). That's the most complicated thing for which you actually need to bring out the concept and relevance of training.

Once you complete this activity, then the training material and delivery come into the picture. It's a process, Amit, which just cannot be explained in an email. Feel free to get in touch with me.

Thanks, Raaj

Hi Raaj,

I have also started my career in training and development and have only a year of experience now. I was an introvert before and had stage fright, but now I can confidently speak to a crowd of 60 as well. I am very passionate about my job because it has changed me as a person. Nice to meet you, Raaj. Both our interests match :D

Hi Raj,

My name is Jyothi. I am currently working as a consultant with one of the recruitment firms. I have 4.5 years of experience in banking. I was with ICICI Bank in their retail liabilities operations. I wanted to transition into HR, so I quit the bank. Upon the suggestion of a few friends, I ventured into recruitment. However, I now realize that this role is not aligned with my interests. It feels more like a telesales job to me. Even during my time at the bank, I excelled in training my colleagues in operations and other quality aspects.

How should I proceed if I want to pursue a career in training?

Regards,
Jyothi

Dear Raaj,

This is just great! So well described and gets the point across right to the core. I am working on a training module on "Brand called YOU" for my team. It's based on self-branding/marketing, something on personality development lines. Can you suggest some sub-topics and activities for the same?

Thanks again for sharing your work.

ML

Dear Mr. Raaj,

In our organization, we are struggling to determine the ROI of our training programs. Could you please provide guidance on this matter? I would greatly appreciate it if you could share the Training Assessment format used for both Technical and Behavioral training.

Thank you.

Well, if you all want more information on training, please let me know.

Hey, I just got an idea right now while posting this message. Would you like me to start a training series where every week I can upload some important training fundamentals?

Training Series Week 1 - Why Training?

Training Series Week 2 - Train the Trainer (What makes an effective trainer and so on?)

Please share your ideas and views on this.

Thank you,
Raaj
