Hi,
The number of SL and PL entitlement varies from company to company. Generally companies kept it as SL - 7 Days and PL - 21 Days.
In case the employee resigned you can calculate the entitlement on pro rata basis i.e for the number of months the employee has worked.
Generally PL entitlement starts only when an employe complete his proboation period successfully and received a written confirmation letter from the employer. If the employee leaves before that, he is not entitle for any PL and if after confirmation, then on pro rata basis for PL encashment.

Hi,
The number of leaves differ from company to company. Actually it depends on Company policy..
In most of teh company the structure is like this-
SL - 8 Days
CL - 8 Days and
PL - 16 Days..
If one person resigned then his earned leave is calculated on pro-rata basis, i.e from date of joining to till date of resignation.

Dear Mr.VairamuthuSasi,
I think that your query must have been solved till now but even then for the clarification of such like other members it is clarified that there are three types of leaves which are generally availed by the employees leaving aside maternity leave i.e. EL or PL, CL & SL. The employees/Workers are given these leaves as per different labour enactments.PL is governed either by Factories Act,1948 Or The State Shops & commercial Establishment Act while SL is granted under the provisions of ESI Act,1948 (if applicable) & the State National & Festival Holidays and Casual & Sick Leaves Act & Shop Act. Therefore one have to see which act is applicable to the concerned Unit/Industrial Establishment & then go through the relevant Rules for the grant of different types of leaves.No. of leaves & the procedure of grant of leave is given thereunder. After going through these relevant Act & Rules you may make your leave policy considering the minimum statutory leaves.
