Dear Sir,

I have a staff of 10 persons in a private limited company. Their basic salary is almost 11000/- for 6 employees and 15000/- for the remaining 4.

1. I don't want to go for ESI. Can I give a medical allowance instead of ESI to cover my medical liability?
2. If yes, then how much medical allowance do I have to pay according to their salary?
3. If ESI is necessary, should I still have to pay a medical allowance or not, and if yes, then how much?

Thank you.
