Please go to 5S - Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke where all the 5 elements are explained. If you realy keen on implementing I suggest that you buy the book suggested there. It is excellent.

5 'S' is a very beautiful concept and this can help u a lot irrespective of the organisation you are working in.It also helps you at home.
But it need patience, you have to go step by step. so, 1st implement the 1st 'S' seiri i.e., sorting out. this itself will take 2-3 months. when you are sure that it is fully implement then move to 2'S'. As all the 'S' are related to each other and you can receive best result if you fully satisfied with Seiri and then move to seiton and like that.
