Dear Nurin Batrisyia Nizam,

The following are the problems faced by the company if HR does not exist:

1. Job descriptions will not be in place.
2. Since job descriptions will not be in place, the recruitment process will not be streamlined.
3. Organization policies/HR policies will not be in place, hence will lead to huge complications.
4. Level and salary bands will not be in place, hence will lead to disparities and a high percentage of attrition.
5. The training and development process will not be streamlined, and employees will not be imparted with any valuable training.
6. Processes and systems will not be in line according to the organization.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

Best regards,

Hi Nurin,

I have been to Penang years ago; it's a nice place. My advice to students everywhere is to search the web, attempt to answer the questions posed, and then seek help to improve the answers. I suggest you do the same. Here's a tip: please search for the benefits of an HR department, as that will provide you with ideas regarding the problems that arise without one.

Have a nice day.

Yeah, Penang is a nice place. Even though there are so many other places in Malaysia that are nice to visit. Be happy to visit our country.

Actually, many times I'm always confused about the question and do not know how to answer it. When I refer to the web or other sources, in other times, I'm not so confident about my own answer.

The biggest challenge to HR is HR itself, we as an HR professionals have to change our mindsets and believe in our own HR process.

Dear Mr. Nurin Batrisyia Nizam,

SALAMAT DATANG

In 2001, I worked in Malaysia where I had traveled to many locations including Bintulu, Kuching, Penang, JB, and my H.O was in KL.

Regarding your query, to my knowledge and the experience I had gained in the field of general management, the challenges faced by HR are:

1) Interview process not streamlined.
2) Job descriptions - not specific and proportional to the practical assignments.
3) Employee attitude and behavior management - difficult to set the right things because of a lack of support from senior/top management. Ego is visible at the senior/top management level.
4) Employee motivation - not practiced effectively.
5) Performance appraisal - not up to the mark and does not meet employee demands.
6) Succession management - not visible due to high partiality, which leads to the formation of informal groups.
7) Communication strategies - not followed or implemented successfully.

There are many other challenges that also vary from organization to organization. Internship experience is needed to understand this practically.

Dear Srilatha Veera,

I feel the challenges faced by HR are as follows:

- Interview process: not streamlined
- Job Descriptions: we struggle to attract a good stream of profiles, and when we try to onboard a person with high hopes and motivation, they may not be properly welcomed by their team.
- Employee motivation: We often attempt to manage people with the resources at hand, but there are times when we cannot address certain employee concerns, leading to difficulties in convincing management. The list of challenges faced by HR goes on endlessly. HR professionals are encountering numerous obstacles in organizations these days, although the specific challenges may vary from one organization to another.

Dear Mr. Krishan,

HR is responsible for:

1) Setting up an atmosphere for employees to deliver their responsibilities with passion.

2) Handling all issues related to employees positively, addressing everything and resolving them with ease without hurting employee emotions.

3) Identifying hidden talents and making the best of them. Employees should be compensated fairly, and their talents/skills should never be misused.

There is a lot more to discuss, and I will provide updates as I am running late for the meeting.

- Dealing positively between management and employees without making anybody feel bad.
- Appraise the employee on a right basis.
- Employers assuming HR and admin are the same.
- HR's role is to represent anybody who has an issue, but when it comes to their own issues, they cannot represent themselves.
- Job Description

In the provided text, I have corrected spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors while maintaining the original meaning. Each point is now properly formatted with a single line break between them.
