Dear Seniors
My company’s management is planning for an offsite and they want me to present HR stuff.

Have thought to preparing a ppt on factors affecting performance appraisal (don’t be late, follow timelines, be sincere & plan your leaves and so on) and on short activity on importance of being on time in training sessions but, not too sure of as how it will come out.

I need your help as to what I should present and how to make it enjoyable as I don’t want it to be kind of boring session for all.

Regards

Dear Anjali,

Off-sites mainly aim at sharing information that may not be easily brainstormed in an office environment but would be productive if discussed in a different set-up. Please do consider the following suggestions:

- Target the main goals to be achieved during the next financial year.
- Identify the action plan and team members who would be playing different roles, including the player, contributors, enablers, and facilitators.
- Discuss the unresolved issues that pose a bigger threat for the next financial year.
- Acknowledge what has been good and why it worked. It will create learning points for everyone.
- Call for an open house discussion but drive it productively with problem-solving discussions, including action points and actionable items.
- Ask every participant to present their deliveries for the past year in a nutshell, with learning, failures, and success.
- Guard against the complaint box situation by driving the feedback with ownership and resolution.

Blog your queries and allow us to contribute further to it.

Thank you, (Cite Contribution), for the help. After reading your post, I have decided to include the following:

a) Monthly plans (this will represent monthly activities which will be scheduled like Tea Party, Open house, star of the month/quarter) - please suggest a few more activities.

b) A slide on discipline (leaves & Office timings).

c) Office procedures (brief on changes).

Please suggest.
