Hi, can anyone help me understand what payroll is? How is PF & ESI calculated? I have been in recruitment for 2 years and I am very interested in transitioning into HR Generalist roles. Can I choose a role in Payroll? If so, how would my future be affected?

Regards,
Sneha

Hi Sneha,

You can choose your career in payroll. You should ask your reporting authority for this change in your job role. It would be the best way to start exploring other areas. If you choose a new company, they may consider your experience, or you may have to join them as a fresher.

All the best.

Hi, I have a vast experience in handling general administration activities, resolving employee grievances, maintaining their leaves, and providing leave status to HR/Finance for salary processing. I also assist in employees' visa processing. I am looking to transition into the HR department. I kindly request all well-wishers to provide guidance on how I can achieve this.
