Hi All,
Employee Engagement is shown to be one of the most important metrics that firms are using to measure the strength of their employee brand. I have read scores of pages emphasizing the importance of Employee Engagement. But I have yet to come across a page which specifies Employee Engagement in tangible terms i.e. what should do to have an engaged employee especially in Software Companies.
An employee should feel engaged, part of organization, he should recommend the organization to peers - result of employee engagement programs. But what exactly are the activities, exercises…Has anyone written on these lines…Is there any text available…please guide me.
Regards,
-Tina

Hi!
It might be of interest to you to read a material relative to a survey done by Gallup International in the US regarding this subject matter. I forgot the title and author of this article but would try to check my files for it. We had a very long discussion of this in HRNET at yahoogroups.com.
Anyway, I remember that this article was saying that Gallup's finding after their research was: "Employee engagement decreases as their tenure/service in the company increases!"
Check this out.

Hi Llarena,
I didn't quite understand your point. I agree that employee engagement decreases as tenure increases, but we should strive to maintain it. This is where our role comes in. What are the reasons for this? We need to be creative at this juncture.
Can you assist me with Gallup's research? Or could you provide me with some more practical activities or suggestions?
Thanks,
Tina
