Hello Everybody,
We are an ISO certified company into Corporate Housekeeping and started with the HRD just 4 months back.
we have the following levels of staff like Manager, Asst manager, Sr Supervisor, Office Assistant, Data Entry operator, Receptionist, Accountant etc. We have designed a PMS that is based on KRA + Perf & Beh rating scale.
Now i need to implement the same in all my departments. Can any one of you guide me as t how should i go about implementing the same.
presently i have started with the following
1. Had an introduction programme which explained the PMS to all employees
2. now i am planning to sit with individual Deptal heads & identify the KRA for their respective employees. But here is the problem that all of them are always busy & not able to give time
Kindly guide me as to how do i tackle this issue & then how do i move ahead

Its very simple... Instead of collecting entire data start with small pie i.e
A. Get your Organizational objectives first
B. Functions / Department objectives next
C. Group / Sub group objectives
D. Finally individual objectives out of which there will be few black sheeps who will also fall in line once you get the data from others.

Hi!

There are certian things that need more time and effort to be fully understood before you can be capable of implementing them in your organization. In these things, you may need real professional help/ assistance --- just like the need to go to a school or attend a technical training to be able to learn the things you want to fully know and understand.

HR practitioners must understand that they cannot try to learn everything and do things by themselves in a hurry ---- even if your company will tell you that it is your job and that you were hired precisely to do it by youself.

A superficial understanding of things, esp of very critical methodologies (e.g. PMS) that will require you to explain and convince employees and top management to accept it as a new/ better way of doing things, will not help you. You need more time and indepth research to be capable of doing it yourself. Any attempt to do it in haste can be a cause for your career downfall because you can be accused of incompetence.

If you want instant things to happen, then HR must learn to invest and use the expertise of professional consultants. Professionals like us have all the expertise and experience that can help you and your company. Many of us are just waiting for your call. Of course ...... your company must pay!

My company, Emilla Consulting, can help you and others on all your PMS needs/ requirements. Modesty aside, our PMS is far superior to others in many respects. We undertook a worldwide study of many appraisal systems and methodologies before we were able to design our system.
