Hello friends,

I am an HR professional at an IT company. In 2 weeks, our CEO will be visiting, and it will be my first time meeting him. I am new to this profession and not very familiar with HR policies. While I perform my daily duties efficiently, I feel the need to understand what else I should know and do. I have read various related topics on this site, but I still seek effective and updated suggestions. Our CEO might ask me many questions related to these topics, so I aim to present myself well in front of him. I hope you all understand my situation. I am looking forward to your positive replies and assistance.

Thanks and regards,
Sohini

Don’t get panic. You can just introduce yourself and put a garland to him. Also tell about the performance and duties you have performed with a detailed report when he is in relax manner

Hi,

I can definitely help with that, but I must be well-versed in the policies. This is because, as informed by my seniors, during his last visit to India, he posed such questions to our former HR. For instance:
1) What are the HR policies?
2) Where would you like to see your company in the next two years?
3) What new initiatives will you undertake for the betterment of the company?

I am quite apprehensive. Could you please guide me on how to tackle these questions? What other questions might he ask, and how should I respond to them?

Thank you for your previous response. I am eager for more insights.

Thanks and regards,
Sohini

Please help me to create an HR policy for Construction Co. I need to develop the HR policy while considering all laws related to the construction industry. I kindly request our members to support me in this endeavor.

Do not worry about that. Just study your material with me and review last year's reports. Compare them with the latest reports, analyze them critically. You will get the answers to what you will be asked. If you find this a good suggestion, then write to me at ashokpal35@rediffmail.com.

Hello Sohini,

If I were the CEO, I might ask the following questions as well:

1. With the possibility of a global recession, are your employees prepared for a potential pay cut, or is there a concern about job security among them?
2. What has been the employee turnover rate in the last 6 months, and has it shown improvement or worsened?
3. What is the current level of productivity among the employees?
4. How have you strategized career advancement opportunities for the employees?
5. Have you been able to identify potential leaders within your company?

I hope you find these questions helpful. Wishing you all the best.
