Hi Bharati,
You can do the following:
- List your achievements at work from Apr '07 till date.
- List any major work or jobs you have handled till date.
- Highlight your positive points and how they would help you in your career.
- List the different obstacles you have faced and how you tackled them or plan to tackle them in the future.
- The different kinds of trainings/workshops/courses you are planning to do in the future.
- The kind of support you expect from your management in your work.
- If you have any ideas for new policies or new initiatives.
Basically, be prepared to tell them what you have done best so far and what you intend to do even better hereafter and how.
All the best! Do let us know how it goes.

Hi Pratibha,
The listing that Deepthi has given is really good. Apart from it, you should also add the following:
- Be very clear about the kind of appraisal you are expecting and your reasons in support of that.
- Include your long-term goals and the responsibilities you want to handle in the next 1-3 years.
- Be prepared to express your concerns in the right manner if the appraisal does not meet your expectations.
- Base your expectations on facts that you can defend.
- Ask the manager about areas of improvement and any concerns.
- Express your concerns regarding the delay in the appraisal meeting and request appraisal arrears from April 2007.
Thank you.
