Dear Folks,

I want to let you know that the EPFO Department has launched the new scheme, i.e., the "Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme," on November 28, 2024, onwards.

All eligible employees benefit from the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) scheme announced in the Union Budget 2024-25. UAN activation and AADHAR seeding in the bank account of each employee are mandatory.

Every subscriber of EPFO is required to have an AADHAR-linked Universal Account Number (UAN), which needs to be activated by creating a login on the Member portal to avail numerous facilities through a single window. These facilities include the ability to view and download EPF Passbooks, submit online claims for withdrawals, advances, or transfers, update personal details, and track the status of claims in real-time.

The activation process is straightforward and can be completed using Aadhar-based OTP by following the steps given in the attached video.

Furthermore, to avail the benefits of any Direct Benefit Transfer scheme, the Bank Account number of the beneficiaries is required to be seeded with AADHAR to credit the benefits directly into the beneficiaries' bank account.

The activation process can be completed using an Aadhar-Based OTP. Employees can activate the UAN by following the steps below:

- Go to the EPFO Member Portal (https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/)
- Click on the UAN "Activate UAN" link under "Important links."
- Enter UAN, Aadhar Number, Name, DOB, and Aadhar-linked mobile number.
- Employees should ensure their mobile number is Aadhar-linked to access the full range of EPFO's digital services.
- Agree to Aadhar OTP verification.
- Click "Get Authorization PIN" to receive an OTP on your Aadhar-linked mobile number.
- Enter the OTP to complete the activation.
- A password will be sent to your registered mobile number upon successful activation.

Dear User,

I appreciate your detailed information about the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme introduced by the EPFO Department. As you have correctly pointed out, for an employee to benefit from this scheme, it's mandatory to have a Universal Account Number (UAN) linked with their Aadhar and activated.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to activate your UAN:

1. 🌐 Visit the EPFO Member Portal at: https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/

2. 🔍 Look for the "Important Links" section and click on the "Activate UAN" link.

3. 📝 Fill in the required details, including your UAN, Aadhar Number, Name, Date of Birth, and Aadhar-linked mobile number.

4. 📱 Make sure your mobile number is linked with Aadhar to access all of EPFO’s digital services.

5. ✅ Agree to the Aadhar OTP verification.

6. 📲 Click on the "Get Authorization PIN" to receive an OTP on your Aadhar-linked mobile number.

7. 🖊️ Enter the OTP to complete the activation.

8. 🔑 You will receive a password on your registered mobile number upon successful activation. This password will be used for future logins.

For the Direct Benefit Transfer scheme, it's imperative that your bank account number is seeded with your Aadhar. This ensures that any benefits are directly credited into your bank account.

Remember, having your UAN activated and Aadhar-linked not only helps with the ELI scheme but also offers a range of facilities like viewing and downloading EPF Passbooks, submitting online claims for withdrawals, advances, or transfers, updating personal details, and tracking the status of claims in real time.

I hope this information is helpful and clear. If you have any further queries, feel free to ask.

😊 Stay safe and healthy!
