Dear Satish,
The SOPs differ from one project site to another. Therefore, to customize, you may conduct a security survey. Based on the survey, you can create your own SOP.
The essential components of security are:
a) Perimeter security
b) Security of the material
c) Security of the personnel
d) Security of the vehicles
Before formulating the SOPs, ensure the standardization of forms for:
e) Movement of people with material (in/out)
f) Movement of material only (in/out)
g) Meter reading of vehicles (in/out)
Before formulating the SOPs, determine the scope of automation. This will reduce reliance on humans.
Thanks,

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), the name itself defines that procedures need to be defined in a standard pattern or process flow. There is no one standard format for procedures to be standardized. Every organization has its policies. Policies define how the various departments need to operate with proper channel flow of authority and responsibility. As such, the security department would also need to first have its policy established.
Next, in accordance with the appropriate security needs, every site will have to form a security arrangement. This could be a two-layer, three-layer, or six-layer security arrangement. The idea is that at each level of security operation, certain operations and authentication or approval patterns need to be established. Considering all the above will call for understanding the risk and threat perceptions in respect of personnel, materials, and information.
Based on a detailed survey and the requirements of security needs, the SOPs are formulated, circulated, and controlled through the channel of authority. For more details, please feel free to connect.
