Hello Everyone, My question is related to Casual & Sick leave.
Our organization is registered in Delhi, as per the Shop & Establishment Act of Delhi, there should be 12 CL & SL but our company has bifurcated it as 6 CL & 6 SL.
So my query is:
1. Is it ok to bifurcate CL & SL, 6 each per year?
2. If we credit these 6 CL & 6 SL on quarter basis, i.e., 1.5 CL and 1.5 SL every quarter and these leaves can not be clubbed.
Is this the right way to credit leaves?
Thanks

Though the Delhi Shop & Establishment Act 1956 provides for sickness or casual leave of 12 days but elsewhere it states that (ii) an employee who has completed a period of one month in continuous employment, shall be entitled to not less than one day’s casual leave for every month: So after every month you have to add one day CL to the account of the employee. The Inspector may not agree to your interpretation.
