Extension of the ESIC Scheme to Construction Site Workers

ESIC, vide its Order dated 31.07.2015, issued instructions regarding the extension of the ESI Scheme to construction site workers. This extension aimed to cover site workers of construction companies under the ESI Scheme.

As far as my knowledge goes, the matter of ESI for construction workers is pending before the Honorable Supreme Court of India in the year 2018. Any recent updates on this important subject that have occurred since then? If so, kindly share with everyone for the benefit of understanding. I have attached a document on the subject from ESIC in the year 2018. Please provide any latest news on this.

There is no further update as of now. Construction workers are no longer at the ESI site.
