I was working with one of the MNCs in Oil & Gas for 13 years, and although it is laying off employees, they asked me to resign, which is fine. However, there is a relocation benefit that should be provided as per my appointment letter. Due to the impact of the coronavirus and my children's schooling, I was unable to travel in 2020. We finally moved on April 2nd, 2021, after the school exams were completed. Initially, the company agreed to provide the relocation benefit, but now they are not communicating with me nor responding to my inquiries.

The present pandemic situation, in my understanding, is more than an adequate explanation for the delayed relocation. Even the provisions of the Limitation Act have been kept in abeyance during this period. You may consider highlighting these aspects. If there is no positive response, you can initiate legal action. If you are not a workman, you may have to go to a civil court.
