Dear Mr. Harish,

Please advise the concerned employee to apply for an EPS Scheme Certificate in Form 10C along with the necessary documents. Upon receipt of the scheme, he can apply for EPS Pension from the date of attaining 58 years. He can continue to be a member of EPF as long as he is employed. Once he applies for the pension, he will be issued a Pension Payment Order quantifying the pension amount along with all the details.

Thanks, Srinath.

But the concerned employee had already completed 58 years and is still in employment. My query is whether he can claim monthly pension now while in service, since he had completed 58 years and no contributions are made to EPS anymore.

Thanks

Dear Mr. Harish, Yes, he can claim pension even if he continue contributing EPF. He is an excluded Employee and exempted for contributing to EPS. Regards, Anbu Loganathan HR
