A case is registered against me and 6 other people. I was the 4th defendant on that list. I am falsely accused, and I also have WhatsApp messages from the guy who filed the case against me. In the messages, he mentioned that my name was mistakenly included due to confusion. It was related to a college fight, so he did not personally know me. He tried to remove my name at the police station, but they informed him that the case had already been sent to court. Eventually, we consulted with a lawyer, and he advised that instead of going through a trial, it would be better to reach a compromise. The matter was settled in court through a compromise, and the case is now closed.

With this resolved legal issue involving charges 323 and 325, I am wondering if I would still be able to secure a job in a multinational company like Infosys or TCS.

Dear Halkut-Challenge,

If the case is settled, then where is the question of you being guilty? In fact, you were not even accused. Therefore, have no fear.

At the time of hiring, companies provide an "Application Blank" to the selected candidates. You may not mention this case when the company hires you.

Thanks,

Dear Halkut-Challenge and Dinesh Divekar,

I would like to bring to your notice a judgment by the Honorable Supreme Court in the State of West Bengal & Ors. vs. Nazrul Islam. In this case, the Court ruled that any person facing or convicted of a criminal offense cannot be considered suitable for a government appointment. To be considered eligible, a person should either have no charges pending against them or have been acquitted of these charges by the court. However, this acquittal must not be a result of a compromise between the accused and the victim or due to the witnesses in the case turning hostile.

The accused would have tried to absolve himself by presenting evidence that did not involve him in the matter. Additionally, the charges do not involve elements of grave and sudden provocation but of voluntarily causing hurt and voluntarily causing grievous hurt.

Bhartiya Akhil, first of all, it's for police job selection. However, there is a case study in which a person gets the job of a loco pilot in the railway despite facing charges that end in compromise. Kindly go and study. Moreover, my question is not about government jobs; I am asking about private jobs.
