I have worked for a company sincerely and worked hard, where there is a condition for a 2-year bond period. Completed the bond period and worked 2 months more after the bond period. I submitted my resignation which was orally accepted. I also served the 2-month notice period as per the employment contract. However, on the last working day, they informed me that my resignation was not accepted. Due to this, I lost an opportunity with a new company, and amidst the pandemic outbreak (Corona), I am struggling to find new opportunities. Can I pursue legal action in this situation? If yes, how should I proceed?

What exactly is the legal remedy the poster wants?

Had he mentioned in his resignation that his notice period started from the date of submission of the resignation letter and ends on the effective date of resignation? If so, the employer cannot simply reject his resignation at the end of the notice period.

If the poster is bold enough, he can simply walk out and join elsewhere. He can also sue the employer for rejecting his resignation without any valid reason, which resulted in his losing a better job.

Not providing relieving letters even after I worked as per their company norms and resigned as per the process. Before the lockdown, I submitted my resignation which they accepted orally. However, on the last working day of my notice period, they stated that my resignation was not accepted. They mentioned that they would not relieve me until the project was released and began making allegations against me. When I inquired about the project release date, they said that due to the pandemic outbreak, it was impractical to decide on a date. In fact, they did not want to relieve me. Therefore, I decided to leave the company on my last working day and did not return to work from that day onwards. It has been a month now, but they have not provided the relieving documents and have continued to make more allegations against me. How can I approach to obtain my relieving documents?
