How to know if notifications or circulars are genuine at first impression:

1. Government notifications, circulars, or orders would always have a unique outward or reference number on them.
2. It will always be mentioned under which rule or authority the notification or circular is issued in the initial part.
3. It will have the logo of the government department with the signature of the signing authority.
4. Furthermore, if you want to be certain, visit the website of the concerned department and check the circular or notification links.

Be cautious when you receive fake circulars and please verify before forwarding them. Issued in public interest.

Further Extension of Time in Filing February 2020 ESI Contribution During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Employees' State Insurance Corporation, as a relief measure, earlier extended the period for filing ESI contributions for the month of February 2020 and March 2020 to 15th April 2020 and 15th May 2020. Now, after considering the hardships faced by employers, the period for filing ESI contributions for the month of February has been further extended from the earlier extended period, i.e., 15th April to 15th May 2020. No penalty, interest, or damage will be levied on establishments during the extended period.

Relaxation under ESI. Please see the press release attached.

Dear members,

COVID-19:

Please see the list of various notifications attached as issued by the governments on account of the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, please use the link provided therein. More information to follow.

There is an expectation of widespread terminations in the near future due to the lockdown and its aftermath. More clarity is necessary regarding the legal rights of terminated employees and their rehabilitation/alternative employment options. The responsibility lies on the Union Government to ease and remedy the situation and address the difficulties faced in both organized and unorganized sectors.

Dear Sir,

Recently, there was a notification from the government regarding the mediclaim policy during Covid-19 for the employees. Could you please provide us with clarity on the same?

Our company is a small private limited company operating from Navi Mumbai. We are all working from home, and we have no workers. In this situation, is it mandatory for us to have a mediclaim policy?

Please advise.
