Hi,
If my employee is on leave until the 15th of the month, and the 15th falls on a Friday, he/she reported back to work on Monday. How many days of leave should be calculated? Should Saturday and Sunday be considered as leave days or as part of the weekend off?
Thank you.

Hi,
It all depends on whether you calculate the monthly salary based on working days in a month or the number of days in a month. In the first instance, the issue does not arise at all, while in the second, it can also be considered as worked if he comes in on the following Monday [18th in your case].
Thanks and Regards

Hi, If Saturday and Sunday is your weekly off then Saturday and Sunday will be not be considered as leaves, unless you have Sandwich policy in your company.

It depends on company policy. If you are using a Sandwich system, then you can count Saturday and Sunday as leave. If your employee is on leave from the 1st to the 15th of the month, and the 15th is a Friday, then the 16th (Saturday) and 17th (Sunday) will also be counted as leave. However, make sure to check if the sandwich system applies in your company.
