Hi All,
As per Labour Law , how many minimum number of days a company should declare holidays ?
I am aware that , the maximum number is left to the interest of the company.
Would ge grateful on your inputs.

Dear Friends,
I would like to know as per the shop and establishment Act what is the minimum number of Holidays one can give to its employees in Delhi & other states in India. Although, each state issues the notification to this effect but my concern is categorizing as national + mandatory in states + rest as per employers wish.
It is would be great if any one of you can kindly forward the lists of Holidays for the year 2009 employees covered under shops & establishment act.

As per labour laws ,National and Festival Holiday, 1959, 9 days of holidays should be allowed. The employer has the right to increase it but not to decrease it.
Seems like you have not filled the Form V of the act. Try to get it signed by the Labour Inspector.
