Hi Seniors,

I need help regarding PF pension availing. One of my acquaintances received a scheme certificate after leaving the organization following ten years of service in Chennai. He is now eligible to receive PF pension as he has reached the age of 59. Could you please guide me on the procedure for him to avail the PF pension? Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,

The following procedure could be adopted:

1) He has to furnish a self-declaration of "Non-Employment Certificate."
2) He has to fill in Form 10-D - Application for Monthly Pension and sign the forms, and the same should be attested by his previous employer. In the absence of the previous employer, any Gazetted officer, including a bank manager, can attest.
3) Four copies of his family photo should be submitted (his and his wife's).
4) All the above documents, a copy of the Aadhar card, a blank canceled cheque leaf, and the Scheme certificate in the original should be submitted to the nearest PF office or Sub-Regional Office of EPFO in your area.

If he has collected a Scheme Certificate from his previous service, he can directly approach the Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) Sub-Regional Office in Kaloor, Kochi, and submit all documents (as I mentioned in my previous posting) to receive an acknowledgment from them.
