Hi sir, I am radhey shyam working with Garments Industry. Sir is it mandatory to give national holiday to piece rate employee. While no employee come to the factory on national holiday. Please advise
Garments Industry is generally covered under the Factories Act. If 10 or more workmen are working with the aid of power (such as a tailoring machine) and producing garments, then it is covered under the Factories Act. National and Festival holidays, as approved by the Inspector of Factories, have to be complied with.
