During salary fitment, we should not consider the same because these are social security benefits. So, we can put the same in the following ways:

1) You will be entitled to a bonus as per the Bonus Act.
2) You will be entitled to gratuity as per the Gratuity Act.

Dear Gaurav, PL, Bonus and gratuity needs a definite mention in the appointment letter; however will not be a part of payslip unless for the months they are paid to the employee. Regards Rahul

Dear Gauravbdwj,

PL, bonus, and gratuity need not be a part of your salary structure. They can be mentioned in the payslips only when they are paid out to your employees. Click on the "+" sign for more helpful answers like these.

Dear Gauravbdwj,

If your package is Cost to Company (CTC), then Bonus, PF, and Gratuity are part of your salary structure. However, PL is not part of the salary structure; it is mandatory under the Factories Act that for 20 days of work, 1 day of leave should be granted to employees.

Therefore, PL is a different component, but Bonus, PF, and Gratuity are part of the salary if the company is offering you the package under CTC structure.
