[(vi) “wages” means all remuneration (whether by way of salary, allowances,
or otherwise) expressed in terms of money or capable of being so
expressed which would, if the terms of employment, express or implied,
were fulfilled, be payable to a person employed in respect of his
employment or of work done in such employment
Minimum Wages Act
"wages" means all remuneration, capable of being
expressed in terms of money, which would, if the terms
of the contract of employment, express or implied, were
fulfilled, be payable to a person employed in respect
of his employment or of work done in such employment,

Basically wages mean remuneration of all kinds being paid to employee in relation to work,

Which are the laws related to wages in India?
They are:
1. Payment of Wages Act
2. Minimum Wage Act
3. Payment of Bonus Act
4. Payment of Gratuity Act
5. Equal Remuneration Act
6. Maternity Benefit Act
7. In some State HRA Act and so on.
Each Act amongst other definitions, defination of wages is given. You are requested to read it, interpret it. In case you do not understand it, your specific query will be welcome by members like me.
